We usually take our family out for a nice meal around Christmastime. A couple of years ago we went to Kabuki. I can't remember the other places we've gone...guess it's not as memorable as I think it is?
Anyway, we announced to the peeps yesterday afternoon that we would be going out for our annual {not-so-memorable} Christmas dinner to an actual restaurant. It's been so long since we've eaten as a family in a restaurant that the peeps were stoked. Ryan immediately said, "Rose's pleeeeeeeease!!" {FYI: Rose's is Rosa's, but he has always called it Rose's.}
"No, no, Buddy," we said. "We want to go some place really nice."
"Like Taco Bell!" I kidded.
"Yeah! Taco Bell!" was Ryan's response.
{ugh, gag me. Taco Bell was a definite NO.}
"How about Hayashi?" I suggested. I know, I know, Kabuki/Hayashi, not really a big difference. What can I say?? I love me some Hibachi grilled shrimp and veggies.
"Fazoli's!" Ryan exclaimed.
I don't think he gets the point of a NICE dinner out. He's just happy with fast food.
Maybe we should listen to him. Things would be a whole lot cheaper that way...
We did go to Hayashi. Ryan had the rice, mushrooms, and shrimp. That kid loves grilled mushrooms. Addilyn was mesmerized by the chef and the fire. David had the pleasure of getting squirted with sake. I was happy just to eat some carbs. And then I paid for it later...
When it was all said and done, fun was had by all. Merry Christmas Eve!
